“What is my business address?” This is one of the most frequently asked questions from our clients. While this may seem obvious, it’s not. Many businesses are run 100% online or from the cloud, and they have no physical business address, also known as a principal place of business or PPB. Some clients assume that the registered agent address is the same as the principal place of business. It’s not.
As a registered agent, we act as the liaison between the Delaware Secretary of State Division of Corporations and Delaware companies. We are responsible for forwarding correspondence from the Secretary of State and any service of process. That’s our primary function. We are your registered agent and provide the legally required registered agent address. The registered agent address is not your headquarters; however as far as the IRS is concerned. When filing out the SS-4 form to obtain an employee Identification Number (EIN) you must enter your actual place of business or your home address.
We DO offer the service of mail receiving. With our mail receiving service, we open your mail and scan it to a dropbox for you to access at your convenience. You can retain it for your future access or delete it when you’re finished. When you subscribe to our mail processing service you may use our address as your return mail address.
