Get a Delaware Certificate of Good Standing on the Same-Day

One of these changes enables our clients to order and receive a Delaware Certificate of Good Standing in the same-business day. Prior to this update in our service, our standard processing time was 2 business days to turn around this document. As we have done for 41 years now, our client centric mindset puts the ease and timeliness of document retrieval at the forefront.

There are several reasons companies may need a Certificate of Good Standing. The primary reason for this document is to illustrate that a corporation or LLC is a valid Delaware company that has paid all its taxes in the State of Delaware up to the current date. It is signed by the Delaware Secretary of State and attests to the good standing status of your company on the date it is produced and signed. Other reasons for needing a Delaware Certificate of Good Standing include opening a business bank account, purchasing or selling commercial real estate, obtaining a loan, or applying for a foreign qualification (Certificate of Authority) to operate your business in another state. Typically, a Certificate of Good Standing is valid for 30 days from the issue date. Outside of that timeframe, a new certificate may need to be ordered.

A Good Standing Certificate (also known as a Certificate of Existence) can only be issued for companies who are in good standing with the State of Delaware. If you owe Delaware Franchise Tax, the tax must be paid-in-full before Harvard Business Services can obtain a Certificate of Good Standing. If it is determined your entity is not in a good standing status, we can also help you restore the company’s good standing status directly online.

You can now order a Delaware Certificate of Good Standing from the Harvard Filing Team any business day. Call before 1:00 p.m. EST and receive it via email the same day. Clients who have signed up for our free client platform (which we call “MyControlDesk”) can order this Certificate on our web site. If the order for the Certificate of Good Standing is placed after 1:00 p.m. EST, it will be processed on the next business day. For example, if you place an order on Friday at 3:00 p.m. EST, you will receive the document via email by the end of business day on the following Monday.
