Apostille Service

Streamline the process of legalizing your documents for use in foreign countries in the 1961 Hague Convention.

Legalize your documents with Apostille Service

In 1961, many nations joined together to create a process of legalizing documents for universal recognition. This group of nations is known as the Hague Convention. These nations adopted a document referred to as an Apostille, which is internationally recognized by all member nations. (Click here for a full list of member countries.)

What are Apostille Services?

An Apostille Service is a process used to authenticate documents for international use, ensuring that they are recognized as valid in foreign countries. The purpose of an apostille is to streamline the process of legalizing documents for use in foreign countries in the 1961 Hague Convention. Without an apostille, documents may need to go through more complex processes of authentication or legalization at embassies or consulates.

Requirements for International Documents, Per the Hague Convention

  • Documents must be acknowledged before a notary public
  • Documents must be Apostilled by the Secretary of State in the state in which the document is executed

What Documents Can Be Apostilled?

Apostille services are often used for documents such as birth certificates, marriage certificates, academic diplomas, powers of attorney, business contracts, and other legal or official records. If you’re unsure about whether or not the service is necessary for one of your documents, our team will be happy to provide a recommendation.
