Free Live Webinar on the Corporate Transparency Act

On March 3, 2021 at 2:00 PM EST, Harvard Business Services, Inc. presents a free, live webinar on the Corporate Transparency Act. This Act was recently passed and will require newly-formed and/or relatively small U.S. corporations and LLCs, or non-U.S. entities that have registered to do business in a U.S. State, to disclose information to the Treasury Department on an initial and ongoing basis regarding the beneficial owners, subject to certain exemptions. The Act represents a fundamental change in the disclosure requirements for forming a business in Delaware. This has been a developing topic that would require a new U.S. corporation or LLC to be required to file a form with the Treasury Department on an initial and ongoing basis providing significant information about the Covered Companies’ “beneficial owners”.

In this webinar, Harvard Business Services’ General Counsel, Jarrod Melson leads a discussion on the disclosure obligation looming over small businesses. In 60 minutes, including a live Q&A session, you will learn:

  • Which companies must make a filing under the Corporate Transparency Act, and when?
  • Who is a beneficial owner subject to reporting?
  • What information must be reported about a beneficial owner?
  • What may Treasury do with the filed information? Who may access the information and under what circumstances?
  • What are the penalties for failing to file or inaccurate filings?

If you have heard about this new Act and have questions, this webinar is for you. Register today, as attendance is limited!
